How long will my glasses take?
For in store orders, we can make most single vision prescription glasses in as little as 30 minutes.
For higher prescriptions, transitions, polarized, safety or progressive lenses we typically quote 10 days, but will do our best to make them faster.
For online orders, it depends on what type of glasses you order, and where you live. Single vision and readers are made same day and can often be shipped the same day. Depending on Canada Post, we expect you might receive these in 3-5 business days from when the order is placed. For progressive style lenses, bifocals, light adaptive lenses, safety glasses and polarized sunglasses we quote 7-10 business days.
Note that we cannot start your order until we receive your glasses prescription. It can be emailed to us at online@secondspecs.com
Where can I get my glasses adjusted?
We would be happy to adjust glasses purchased from us at anytime free of charge at any of our store locations.
In the mean time please have a look at this video for some helpful tips.
We reserve the right to refuse adjustments on any pair of glasses purchased elsewhere as there is always a risk of breakage.
Do you sell contact lenses?
We do offer contact lenses online. If you wish to use your vision insurance we will provide you a invoice to submit, or visit any of our stores to direct bill. Our contact lenses can be picked up in-store, or shipped directly to you!

Please note that we can only direct bill your insurance providers in store, and not online.
Please ask if your insurance is not on this list as we are constantly adding new companies to our direct billing list.
Shipping
Do you ship outside of Canada?
Yes, we can ship orders to the United States. Additional shipping and possible duties will be calculated and may require subsequent fees. We will not charge your credit card until the order is fully confirmed. More Info
What shipping carriers do you use?
We use Canada Post to ship glasses orders. If another carrier is required, please contact customer service at online@secondspecs.com
Contact Lens orders may be shipped directly from the manufacturer using their preferred carrier.
Please note that contact lenses cannot be shipped to PO boxes at this time.
Returns
Can I return my product?
We always aim to make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process. online@secondspecs.com
Warranty
What is your warranty for frames lenses or prescription change?
Frames are warrantied for manufacturer defects for 12 months. Lenses are warrantied against coating defects for 12 months.
If you doctor issues a change in prescription, you have 90 days for a prescription changes at no additional charge.
