Eyecare Protection Plan
Second Specs is proud to offer an Eyecare Protection Plan for in-store glasses purchases. This plan gives you peace of mind in the event your glasses end up in pieces.
The Eyewear Purchase Protection Plan covers a one time accidental damage replacement per complete set of prescription glasses for two years from time of purchase.
Glasses must be present to claim coverage, the plan does not cover lost or stolen eyewear.
All non-prescription glasses and sunglasses, Maui Jim, Oakley and Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses, contact lenses and safety glasses are not eligible for the protection plan.
Coverage is for two years from pick up date* and must be made with the same prescription as the damaged eyewear.
If multiple pairs are purchased at the same time, all must participate in the coverage program.
The second pair will receive the same coverage at half the cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If the patient purchases multiple pairs can they get the plan only on the most expensive one?
A: All pairs purchased at the same time must be covered on the plan.
Q: Does the patient have to purchase multiple pairs to get the protection plan?
A: The patient can purchase the protection plan for a single pair, however, they will save 50% off
the protection plan, on a second pair, if purchasing a second pair at the same time.
Q: If a patient purchases a single pair protection plan and comes back for a second pair another day, do they get the discounted protection plan rate on the second pair.
A: The patient would get a new single pair protection plan, the discounted rate is on multi-pair purchases made at the same time.
Q: Can a family split the protection plan for multiple pairs to get the discounted second pair covered?
A: The mult-pair pricing is to be used for the same prescription and cannot be split.
Q: If a patient declines the protection plan, can they purchase it at a later date?
A: The protection plan can only be made at the time of purchase on new complete pair orders, and will not be applicable to past orders, all orders do continue to have the standard manufacturer defect warranty for one year.
Q: Can insurance be used to pay for the protection plan
A: No, the protection plan is not eligible to be billed to insurances.
